Information
Cannes places of interest:
Le Palais des Festivals:
The Palais des Festivals is a complex of 35 000m² of exhibition space and multiple halls with 18 auditoriums. It was constructed in 1949 to host the Cannes Film Festival, the success of which, combined with the success of such business conventions as the MIPTV Media Market (since 1965), MIPIM and others has led to its rapid expansion over the years. Today it is at the forefront of technology with ultra modern and sophisticated equipment, surpassing even that of the Palais des Congrès de Paris.
The Palais has recently been renovated and improved yet again, and been awarded triple certification and honours in the fields of Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO14001) and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and plans are already in place for future expansion.
The most celebrated event held at the Palais des Festivals is the Cannes Film Festival.
